Add Text from a File

To add the contents of a file to a new text object:

  1. While in Edit Mode, select Text from the Object menu.

  2. Click and drag a rectangle where you want the text to appear.

The Text Properties dialog box appears

  1. Select Text from a file from the Source pull down list.

  2. Specify a file name, user file from the project file, or a string parameter specifying a file in the File Name field.

  3. Choose your alignment style.

  4. Click Ok.

Note

  • If the content of the file on disk changes, then the contents of the text object will be refreshed if the page is re-opened or if the page is refreshed after a procedure call.
